BLC Lab’s New 3D Printer
As a part of a new project, our lab now has the ability to print 3D brain models that are anatomically accurate on the surface of the whole brain or on the surface of slices of the brain. 3D models can enhance neuroscience education by allowing students to familiarize themselves with brain structures on and below the surface that are modeled after real brains in 3D space. Individualized brain models can also be made for anyone from whom we have collected fMRI data so that our participants can see and touch models of their own brains!
